New York State Training Council
Web Policy
(approved 12/16/98)

The New York State Training Council (NYSTC) recognizes the value and potential of the Internet. Allowing and encouraging members, operating committees and training partners to publish on or link from the NYSTC web site provides our training community with one additional way to access valuable and timely training and human resource development information.

The quality and accuracy of information published by the New York State Training Council plays a significant role in sustaining the strong reputation and image of the Council. This policy also sets minimum standards designed to safeguard that information published electronically is visually appealing and well written and follows the same high standards as other forms of published information.

Policy Statement

Official NYSTC web resources are provided for Council sponsored entities including the Executive Committee, operating committees and task forces. They may create web pages that carry out official NYSTC business in support of the Council's mission. Only information that has been reviewed and cleared by the web site manager will be published on NYSTC official web pages.

Training partners wishing to publish on or link from the NYSTC web site should contact the web site manager with their request. All requests will be forwarded from the web site manager to NYSTC Executive Committee for approval.

Training Council resources may not be used to create web pages for personal business or personal gain. Links to personal pages from the NYSTC web site are not allowed.

Responsibility for Pages

NYSTC Committee Chairs, or respective designees of these committees, are responsible for reviewing their committee's official page(s) and forwarding any recommendations for deletions, additions or revisions to the web site developer. Information on all NYSTC Web pages must be both accurate and current.
