Colloquium Planning Group
2007-2008

In 2003, the Training Directors' Roundtable and the Leadership Development Committee merged to form the Directors' and Leaders' Colloquium Planning Group. 

OUR MISSION:  Develop leadership potential within the Council and within the broader training community. The Directors’ and Leadership Colloquium supports the mission and objectives of the Training Council by strengthening the leadership skills of its members and by sharing information about managing the training function.  The Colloquium strives to share information on training and development issues and activities among NYS agencies.  Through dialogue and collaboration on a wide variety of training and development projects of mutual interest, the Colloquium is an advocate for training and development in NYS government.  All activities further the development of the State work force so it can better serve the public. The Colloquium hopes to become a resource for other NYSTC committees to improve communications, support other committees, and to provide recommendations on issues and trends to be discussed throughout the year.  They will accomplish this also by:

• Recruiting & preparing Council Members to serve in the Council’s leadership positions

• Developing the slate of candidates to run for office and overseeing annual election of officers

• Offering an annual leadership development seminar
